Adobe BlankCheck OMG*

"It's the cost of doing business."

Buy the same thing from us year after year!
Learn how to do the same thing over and over again!

Features:

  • New splash screen and version number.

  • So new, in fact, we had to completely change our version numbering schema!

  • No, really, it's new! It's not just the difference between 11 and 12, it's the difference between 11 and OMG!!

  • Interface has been re-organized to enable more efficient workflow and confuse long-time users.

  • Backward compatibility (well sort of).

  • Cross-platform compatibility (well sort of).

  • New color management paradigm ensures all old files will have issues with color shifting.

  • $700 per head from your organization goes to Adobe's coffers!

  • Special $149 upgrade price makes it seem like you're saving money!

  • Continued support for another year, assuming we don't change our minds or go out of business or discover any more bugs after we release the x.0.1 patch.

  • No actual enhancement of end-user productivity!

  • One more thing to break!

  • 2 new features you never knew you needed, and probably didn't!

  • 45,000 new bugs!

  • Keeps your helpdesk staff employed while simultaneously sapping their will to live!

*Now integrated with Adobe TreadWater!

And then Adobe wonders why everyone pirates their products...

M$ is in the same boat, for the most part. Expensive products that have a bunch of bugs in them, yet it seems that everyone+dog has a copy of them...

That is because even the folks that have moral qualms about piracy have no issues with "making unauthorized copies" of Micro$cum software.

I still use Photoshop 6. Thought 7 had too much bloat. Or maybe it was that same reaction I hat to Windows ME Beta, dont really remeber.

Windows ME Beta sorta insulted me by using really dumbed down language and refusing to install the video driver I was trying to install. I have refused to touch it ever since.
