Caller: I can't get this email to send. Outlook won't send it!
Me: Can you send other mail?
Caller: Yes!! I just can't figure this out!
Me: What address are you trying to send to?
Caller: ***@****.com
Me: Ok, let me check to make sure the address is valid. *sends email* *email goes through fine*...
Hm... Seems to be working. Can you read me the address EXACTLY as you have it?

Caller: W-I-N-P-O-S-T-A-T-W-I-N-P-O-S-T-DOT-COM .
Me: Um... You have to use the @ sign instead of the word "at".



*sigh*

Lol. You must work at a helpdesk ;) I remember those days. I did a five-year stint for IBM way back. Some of the dumbest people I spoke to were high level executives. It's pretty sad how little people know about the machines they work with every day.
