They do that to me too. You can practically hear the neurons snap in their brain as they realize that, just maybe, they should have used another phone to call...
I had one of those a while back. He didn't seem to understand the difference between "unsupported" and "won't work" A lot of my customers seem to have problems differentiating between the two.
We don't support PDAs your wife gets you for Christmas, though. I have told all our newbies that no, we do not support people wanting to look important.
Ugh. Blackberries just don't make sense to me. Honestly, who needs constant 24/7/365 access to their email/web stuff? Get a laptop for that! Or just make people *gasp* CALL YOU?
I can hear the "tech-savvy" CEOs neurons snapping all over America.
Thanks. It used to be just the top-top execs who would get them here. Now everyone with "manager" of ANYTHING in their title gets one. Everyone. And with nearly 140,000 employees, imagine how many "managers" there are.
I thought I was about the only person in the world that supports BlackBerries. I cringe whenever I hear that word.
“Can you fix my mail thingy” “My organiser won’t open word documents” Blah blah …… if you wanted a good PC compatible PDA you shouldn’t have bought a crap load of Blackberries then should you. Neither should you have bought said Blackberries without ANY consultation with IT. Nor should you have stood there looking stupid when the penny dropped they won’t work without a BlackBerry Server. Which needs to be ordered, delivered, configured, BEFORE you can receive you work related mail at Xam in the morning. When surprise, surprise there is no one at work to send you any emails.
Your Outlook doesn’t synchronise properly with your mail, contacts and task list, no sh1t, try plugging the dammed thing in once and a while, and while you there pay for the upgrade that actually allows this function.
You want MORE BlackBerries, OK that’s fine just go and buy them anyway when you have been told we don’t have enough licenses to cover them.
Your BlackBerry won’t switch on and you are afraid you have lost all you email, (that by-the-way) is STILL in your Outlook when you get to work, My heart bleeds for you I am absolutely devastated.
