IE New windows

techrecoveryI seem to have a problem with IE not opening new windows. For example, I click an article on Fark and it'll open a window, but won't display the page or the toolbar or anything. All I can do is close the window, I can't interact with it.
Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP1
Browser version: 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.021108-1929CO
I've tried running the System File Checker, and I've tried running "regsrv32 urlmon.dll" as per some other things I read. I've also run all of the Windows updates. Thanks for any help you can give.
**EDIT** Please, don't just tell me to use a different browser. I understand that people have issues with MS, but I happen to like IE.
