My computer has been waking up at random times between 3 and 3:20 AM, while I am at work, and is still on when I get home. There's nothing being recorded, scanned, updated, backed up, or otherwise scheduled for that time.

I suspect feline interference.

My mom's computer used to do that. Turns it was set to wake-on-ring, and someone was faxing that line fairly often.

It'd be just like one of my lusers to try and fax something at 3:05 am.

I have a friend that had a similar problem. Turned out his cable modem was somehow managing to trigger the motherboard's Wake-on-lan function.
