Today I was subjected to a (non-spam) email which had come through at least four other people.

Person 1: Hi Person 2, I am one of your colleague organisations trying to send an email to Person 3, who works in your team. You mentioned their name in your last email but I don't have an email address. What is it?

Fwd to Person 2

Person 2: Person 3, you must update your contact details!

Fwd instead of just telling Person 3 who sits next to her

Person 3: OK. How and where?

Fwd back instead of just asking Person 2

Person 2: OMG THE WORLD IS ENDING! IT Department, do something!

Fwd to wrong person

Person 4: Hi, this is the wrong area of the IT Department. I'm forwarding your email to the Helpdesk without bothering to look at it. This should be fixed by the Email division as it's obviously an email-related problem.

Me: For fuck's sake, you collective waste of skin! Someone phone Person 1 and tell him Person 3's email address before I pull your assorted organs out through your noses!

Puhlease. Kill them all, I say.

(sez me, who spent 9 hours trying to get an Exchange database restored from backup, and with (high-up) people calling me going, "Can you block this spam RIGHT NOW which I got *yesterday* and is evidently a bounce from a spoofed email address?" Me (lying like a rug): "Sure, you'll find it all fixed IF and WHEN you can log onto your mailbox again.")

Ha, I just had a call from a dippy lady who told me flat-out that she could not change her location information in Outlook even when I showed her how to do it (we have a Web interface for it). OMGWTFOHITISTHERENOW!!!11
