Just as I am ready to log out to go on break, my phone rings. The user on the other end has a fairly simple problem... but it takes 20 minutes to get her through things because she is not only being convoluted in how she is telling me about this problem, she was so frustrated she was stammering, and making it utterly impossible for me to get a word in edgewise.
And thanks to this bat-of-ding, I missed my window of opportunity to go on break, and must now wait until we have enough people back online for me to take it.
Its calls like this that make me consider renouncing not-drinking.

This does not work in all situations, though.
sorry you missed your break! I've been in that situation, too and it *sucks muchly* (esp if you have to pee or seriously need nicotine)

I've never had to do a timed break. Sorry to hear that. This desk wouldn't survive that!
