OK, this didn't happen to me, but a colleague...

Basically, the user phoned up about a pop-up window that she'd been getting for over a week now, and it was beginning to annoy her. So, she wants someone to get rid of it.
The message?
"Virus detected. Quarantine failed"

Back in the day, I used to get such messages on my computers on a near-daily basis. They weren't from my antivirus, though, they were blatantly Internet pop-ups. Hell, they even said "Microsoft Internet Explorer" down on the taskbar.

Now I don't even use Windows.

What always made me laugh about those popups were that they would try to use the XP stylized theme on their dialogs, but they looked NOTHING like normal dialogs (I have win 2000). I laugh when I read those when running on Linux. However, I can still imagine some schmuck clicking on that regardless.
