This Goes Beyond OMGWTFBBQ, etc.
Jul. 11th, 2005 10:45 amYannow, sometimes it's not the (l)users that drive you nuts.
1. We support +/- 3000 remote users.
2. Some of those users who were on vacation over 4 July had their digital certificates expire on Saturday.
3. The 'fix' that was implemented by the IS group this morning did not reset the affected digital IDs as it was supposed to do - in actuality, it revoked every single certificate on every remote laptop in the U.S. used by our people.
We at the help desk are of the opinion that we all need to be bought drinks and dinner. We expect that, at the very least, before being royally fucked. Please send good thoughts to your techie brothers and sisters in the Northeastern U.S. today.

Date: 2005-07-12 11:45 am (UTC)Or tell the IS group you'll be happy to handle the fallout from their fuckup - at fifty bucks per caller, charged back to their budget.
Time, inconvenience and money. That's the only language the bosses speak, and the only way to put the point across.
