Damn it people! I understand that there's been a thunderstorm. Trust me I do. I may not live in that state, but the 60 calls I've taken from it have all politely and otherwise informed me of that weather condition. Now... while you were waiting the 15 min's to talk to a rep... Why the heck couldn't you follow the voice over instructions and powercycle the damn modem and router?! It's not rocket science! Would have save us both a lot of time.
oh... and little miss snarky? Don't lie to me. You've not called in since the service was installed. You've also not powercycle the modem like I asked you to. It's been online... oh look! For as long as you been with us! I don't blame it for giving you a slow connection. Now I asked you 5 times to powercycle, and the up time never changed. Don't call back until you've done it.
One last thing... silly lady... could you please ensure that the next time you try to install usb drivers that a) you're using a usb cable b) that you know where your cd rom is and c) said drive is actually able to function. Fortunately, we managed to figure out that you were using enet and a powercycle (see above) did the trick.

Date: 2005-06-30 03:24 am (UTC)Probably 75% of the time I'll mention that I can still get a reading from the modem and I'll hear "then what Did I unplugg?!?!?" Which is fine... it just lets me know how computer literate the sub is.
