techrecoveryHad a phone call earlier from the head's PA. He was having laptop issues, could I pop up and have a look? Sure, says I, and I toddle off up there. Have a quick play, decide I'm going to need to bring it down to my office so I can work without him looking over my shoulder.
I discover the anti-virus is 4 months out of date. And it's Sophos, which sucks. Uninstall that, install him AVG. Run AVG. An hour later, it has found 15499 viruses (no, that's not a typo. I really did say 15499). This has amused me greatly. It's also amused his PA, and my direct boss. The head himself is suitably embarrassed. What other job could you openly take the piss out of the CEO (equivalent) and get away with it? :)
I wonder if there's a world record for the amount of viruses found - I've never seen that many in one place before :)
