Can't follow simple instructions to email me request codes so i can input them into the database to generate 36 character license codes... times 7!!!
This guy had 7 licenses he needed generated because he lost his dongle (usb security key) for his charts so i had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with the phonetic library of alpha's and xray's and delta's and 9'ers....
imagine saying xray xray alpha charlie dash charlie delta foxtrot romeo dash.....
for 36 characters, for 7 different license codes.....
when i asked him to email them to me, he completely ignored the request and began to spout off non phonetically (he should know his phonetic alphabet) losing him in a sea of confusion.
i hate this job... anyone in san francisco hiring?

Date: 2005-05-24 02:34 pm (UTC)There's a guy sitting next to me who spent a couple of decades in the military, apparently as some kind of engineer.
He's lived in this city for twenty-five years.
The other week, I discovered he didn't know what timezone we were in. And couldn't work it out with five seconds' thought. His wild-ass-guess ended up being in Hawaii or some such.
I'll repeat. This guy's career spanned:
Military
Engineering
I.T.
- but he didn't know what frickin' TIME ZONE he was in?
What the HELL?
