Some background... my colleagues and I do tech for our district schools - about 90 schools in total, with kids ranging from 4 to 18 years of age.

I've been helping out on our Helldesk all week and one of our field guys phoned in to get some of his calls closed down and I was having a chat with him and he was telling me about a visit he'd had to one of our primary schools...

He was in a Primary 2 class (so, 5 and 6 year olds) setting up a machine and the teacher was doing show and tell with the class.

A handful of kids had already done their bit and the teacher asked the next wee lad to come and show what he'd brought in.

This wee lad stood up at the front of the class, rummaged in his bag and brought out a remote control. For a telly.

The teacher, with a slightly puzzled look on her face asked him to explain why he'd brought a remote control to school with him to show the class.

As innocently as you like he says "Well, my mam says that if I brought this to school then she might be able to get my da to do some fucking housework when he gets in"

The teacher apparently just took a deep breath and moved on to the next kid "So, what did you bring to show us today?".

My colleague nearly fell off his dinky little chair at that point and I nearly choked on my voicetube when he told me.
