I have a woman call me up (she's called 5 other times today with a massive amount of notes of all the shit done to her computer) and I ask how can I help her. She starts talking about a toolbar.

She's talking about the toolbar that gets installed with our software. It just makes it easier to open your browser or email program. That's all.

She says it's gone. It's disappeared. I told her to reboot because it should startup with the toolbar. It didn't work.

Well this freeeeeekin toolbar isn't necessary, but if she wants it, fine. We'll reinstall the software.

Asked if she has our CD. She then tells me that her CD ROM drive is hosed. Oooookay. I can't fix that, it's not my problem. I asked if she had a browse the internet icon. She does. I told her to click on that and it automatically tried to dial.

Great! That means everything is already setup.

Told her to do that to connect from now on and click on the mail button to get her email. She immediately started rambling about the other techs she talked to today and her toolbar and her CD ROM drive not working. Not my problem.

I asked her how else can I help her (I do have call times lady..listening to you whine and complain is getting us nowhere). She said she didn't know. She continued to ramble and say how other people helped her etc. I look at all the notes and they basically were getting her to a point where she could connect and get her email again. She can do that RIGHT NOW!! YOU DON'T NEED THE FRRRRRRICKEN TOOLBAR!!!

She kept rambling and rambling. I must have asked her several times how else I can help her, with her response being, "I don't know." I told her 2 more times how to connect and get her email without the toolbar. She still wouldn't shut up. I said, "If there is nothing else I can help you with, I am going to let you go." She said, "My CD ROM drive isn't working and my toolbar is gone."

(I've heard that a million times already!!)

I said, "Call Apple about your CD ROM drive not working. You don't need the toolbar. AGAIN, I will tell you how to connect without it." And again I repeated myself for the 400th time. She finally said, "I won't bother you with this anymore. Thank you." And she started rambling again. I said, "Have a nice day."
