Just got my first OSX Tiger Tech Support Call. Turns out that if you ordered it thru mac.com you might already have it.... and turns out if user updates to Tiger (with our software installed) they have to blow out the prefs and restart or else our program gets screwy.

He's one of coolest best early adopter users, and when he described the issue I was able to figure out what he needed to do in less that 60 seconds *not seriously hard* but I'm the only really mac oriented tech on my team -- so it was luck of the Irish that the call came to me. And it made me appear all uber-tech cuz my coworkers would have freaked out or wasted a lot of time on this... I had an innate sense of exactly what was up and how to tech it... but of course, oui oui.

The manager is writing up my solution to our knowledge base even as I type.

I've noticed that a bunch of mac problems can be solved by nuking the program's preferences, usually. I know that a lot of the older Adobe products were that way.
