I figure everyone could use a little humor to break the daily cycle of pain for a few minutes. Current story on /. about rave reviews of tiger coming out. After I read throught the usual trolls about why apple sucks and that they are too expensive I came across this gem. I hate it when satirists peg me in generalizations. fuckers. anyways heres the humorous thread http://apple.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=147629&cid=12370229. I guess we all can figure where i fall in. anyone else want to admit their fanboyisms?

Mirrors, ikea, only thing is .. they are the neighbor that is up till three playing loud music. I read, the one of thier otherside ... occasionally plays chinese music, but I don't know how late.

Some days I must admit I want to just screw the PC business and get myself a G5, a Mac Mini for my wife (who is just in love with that design), and a Playstation2. Set me up with a DDR mat and I'll not miss some of the MS bullshit again.

kinda what happened to me. well, I actually got a job where I was forced to use a blue and white G3 with mac os 9.2. The fucking thing crashed so much that I wrote a proposal to get os x for the entire dept, 7 machines in total. I did a little math and explained that os x would pay for itself for all the macs in 6 weeks by saving the lost production by myself and my partner. The very next week we got os x installed, 10.1. That was back when ibooks where getting really good and 10.2 was being shown by Steve Jobs in keynote presentations. I think it was spring of 2002. Jaguar brought a lot of great new features and couple that with the rise of itunes and the ipod really starting to catch Apple was starting to show off some really cool shit. After I started using os x I bought an ibook and really loved it. Then after the 10.2 keynote I knew I was going to sell my suped up frankenbox to get some funds for the new dual G4s that came out. Hot shit. Since then I've bought an another ibook, powerbook, mac mini, and 2 ipods. I can't stand using XP now after 3 years of great mac expieriences. I still shudder when I think about os 9 though. Whenever anyone at the work place corners me about computer advice because they hosed there dell with spyware and viruses and had to reinstall xp for the 3rd time while waiting an hour on the phone with support I tell them to buy a mac mini and all those problems will go away. 2 minis so far and counting. Kinda sucked that Gateway doesn't sell ipods on their web site, however then I got support calls about setting up an ipod and itunes I always helped out even though it wasn't supported. Its cool to see the ipod halo effect starting to bring some pc users to the mac.
