Yeah that'll send....*rolls eyes*

Me: "What does your outgoing mail server say?"
Cust: "smtp"
Me: "Just smtp?"
Cust: "Yup, just smtp"

*sighs*

So I fix all of his hosed up account settings. Mail recv. normally.

Cust: "Can you help me setup my wife?"

*sighs*

Me: "Sure, whatever."

The problem is, people just can't use the f*in site we have setup which can answer every fucking question they have. Even though I pitched it! I hate spoon feeding customers. It's time to put on the big boy pants now. I've gone over the servers 3x. You haven't learned them yet?

Your mum called about eating lunch tomorrow, then Liz called about eating out tonight, then your mum rang back to ask if I'd eat her out tonight..

I remember when I got my cable modem. I asked the guy what the mail servers were. "Pop-server". "Uh, I think I can guess the next one..."

At least twice a day, I have to adjust the same settings for the exact same reasons.

"But it says in parethesis POP3, so I thought that was my server."

"No, if it was your server, why would Outlook Express make you type it in?"

"um..."

Only twice a day?

What we got way more often was they would put in pop3@yourisp.net instead of pop3.yourisp.net

lmao! - I tell them - "nope, you may visit our support site which is *site here* and learn how to set the next one up on your own - was there anything else?" - I've never been marked down on monitors for that, its called "educating the customer" on how not to be a lazy mother--
