Currently I'm not phone teching, but I thought I would share one of my stories.

Call 1: Good LOOORD!!!! 20 minutes to disconnect a router. UNREAL!!!!

Call 2:"Hi, I cannot connect to the internet. Oh wait, I found the problem. The modem is not plugged in. Sorry to waste your time." -- I swear I had that call yesterday.

Call 3:
EU : "Hi. I have been calling and calling and no one can give me information about the router that I ordered."
ME : "Well Sir, I do apologize for any inconvenience (BARF)." ---- fast forward to funny part
EU : "Well I have this box that you guys sent me the next day after I ordered to router."
ME : "Well sir, what's in the box? What does the box say?"
EU : "I don't know. I haven't opened it. It's still in the bubble wrap. Oh wait, it says 2 Wire on it."
ME: "Well Sir, that is a router."
EU: "OH."
ME: *beats head on desk*

Next call please........

I was checking out a laptop that came in for repair the other day.

Windows was messed up in interesting ways, then I looked at the check-in sheet to see what the problem was.

"Won't connect to AOL", it said.

I carried it over to the part of the room with the working phone line, and discovered that the laptop had no modem.

One PCMCIA modem later, they are happier people.
