Mar. 18th, 2005 02:30 amYou know when you have to keep it nice and polite for the records, but you still want to lay at least a portion of smackdown..
Come on guys - you can do better than this. All I want to do is change from my existing dialup plan to the basic rate broadband. I'm all ready to pay my $99 + $10 for one extra filter and 6 months commitment.
Simple? Not likely. If I try to do it online via your site, at a late stage in the process the system asks me to nominate an email address (or 3 to be precise). When I nominate my existing one, it retorts - of course - that it's already taken. Well I never. Funny thing, that. And then, of course, there's no way out except to exit.
SO ... how about handling it for me? Same credit card, same personal details, same everything except the plan. Shouldn't be too hard - or is it?
Cheers,
Smartarse Customer
Hello,
Thank you for your email.
The reason you are finding it difficult to update your existing account to broadband is that you are attempting to do it through the new customer registration page. In order to retain your current email address and upgrade to broadband you need to go through the self-administration site, http://www.ISP.com/self-admin. Log into the site and then click on the "change plan" link on the left to go through the process of placing an order for broadband.
If you find this too difficult or require assistance, please contact us on (number) to be registered over the phone.
