that reminds me of when my computer parts supplier came to me with a 36 gig fujitsu (MAM3367 series) and asked how to connect it up. he didn't know what to do with the SCA connector on it. a customer wanted it for a high end game machine, and thought that the 15k rpm drive would be the fastest he could get for the machine.

well, turns out this drive is 3 years old.. but because he heard SCSI and 15000 rpm, he assumed it'd be super fast.. it's a 9 gig per platter drive.. i told the guy to just get a raptor, it's about 50% faster unless he's building a high end fileserver...

the wonders of scsi...

Does this community have a moderator who can ban you or should I just leave to save myself from sales spam now?
