a few weeks ago i downloaded Kazaa.
i have musicmatch jukebox.

i couldn't get my kazaa songs onto it so i went to
my computer
C:// drive
program files
kazaa
my shared folder

and clicked on the songs which then went to my musicmatch jukebox

now my cd burner is messed up. i'll put 74 minutes of music on a cdr to brun and it'l come up as like, only 11% completed. and then the cdr burns as a coaster.

does anyone know how i can fix this??

Maybe try burning at a slower rate?

not sure, it does sound odd... but like the previous comment mentionned; slower speeds = safer speeds.

But it sounds as if what's messed up here is the burner's progress bar for the space of the cd. So... things you can try;
-Scandisk
-Defrag
-Checking those mp3s that you're burning. I'm not sure what software you're using to make cds, but I've noticed at times in the past some programs having real trouble with 'damaged' mp3 files. That could mean incomplete, variable bitrate, bitrates that aren't supported (go 320kbps!) and a few other features here and there.
-Uninstall & Reinstall the jukebox software, I've never used it. I know however that it 'acts funny' more than a lot of other burning softwares.

I don't think Kaazaa should be overwriting any of the files either way but... what do I know?

I second the WinMX recommendation. Maybe lack of docs scares off the dumbasses or something, because I've leeched a King's standard sterling buttload of stuff off there, and only once have I gotten something that was not what it claimed to be.

File Matching and multi-point downloads tends to minimize those mislabeled files. If nothing else you can always right click your own file, search for ALTERNATES and see if what comes up has any resemblance whatsoever to the file you think it is :)
