As to not name names, I will use the high-encryption method of a recent Penny Arcade comic...

So I was doing tech support for a company that makes cameras...and digital cameras...called Wolympus. It was nice there...back into tech support, making a much better wage than I was before and I normal Mon-Fri schedule.

Until...

I was seasonal, and though very good at my job, I was told there was no need me. To which I replied with a lewd gesture and said "There's always a need for me, baby". Needless to say, it didn't work. But I was able to go to a different account. A certain reemerged now-legal music downloading service by the name of Wapster...follow me?

So it's a job...it's a dollar less an hour...but a job...
Where I'm not a technician, officially.
Where only one out of 5 calls MAYBE are technical...
Where the rest are billing.
Ugh.

So my question is how many others out there have to deal with billing? Here, it's really not that bad, save for that most of the people don't understand that you get free DOWNLOADING and not PURCHASING. Free trial does not mean everything is free.
I'm also not used to being the most technically knowledgable person on the account. I know my stuff, but I'm no guru.

We deal with tech (for 3 different products), sales (for 4 products)AND billing. We gots to know EVERYTHING. And yes, it is painful.

One of the favorite things I love about my job is when I get to say "I'm sorry, here in technical support, we deal with TECHNICAL ISSUES. I can't quote you ANY prices. I can't refund you anything EITHER. Let me transfer you to sales/customer care."
