Several reasons

1) if you can't even name it, then you shouldn't be touching it
2) They are dynamically assigned
3) When I asked you which Dialup Number you used so I could look up the correct settings, it took you ten minutes of looking for the damn number before I cracked it, looked up your account and saw you had fucking ADSL

Peeking at the LJ profile, looks like Australia is where the original poster hails from. I'm pretty sure it's already 6:30am on Saturday over there. (When it's 2:30pm on Friday here on the East Coast of USA.)
