And in follow up to my previous post, I have just been informed that our phones haven't been quiet all weekend, and that there was actually a 15 minute wait on Christmas Day.

I can not believe this. Rather than go and enjoy time with their families, friends, booze of choice etc etc, these people will sit on the phone and try and get their net working because they broke it to begin with.

I'm glad I wasn't here.

Apparently a lot of people get software/hardware for Xmas presents that are not easily compatible with their system.

Yeah, no one actually reads those. They see the "recommended" hardware on the side of video game boxes, and think they can get away with less system or video card memory.

LOL, those are the same people who will bitch and moan about how their p3-450 with 128MB of ram and a GeForce2 MX440 card wont run the latest game smoothly on 32-bit color and 1600 x 1200 resolution :P

hahaha, they're also trying to run it on an install of their OS which is dying slowly... e.g. Win ME.

Well, if it's a choice between spending time with your family, or spending time on hold, the on hold starts looking pretty good after the 7th viewing of 'A Christmas Story', 'A Christmas Carol', and 'It's a Wonderful Life', consecutively.

Nah. They just don't care about their families.

It's like the call I had where the woman put down her baby while feeding it (baby started to give that "I'm hungry" whine) to reboot her modem and her router because, of course, the connection is more important than her newborn.

You don't know the meaning of "worthwhile comment" do you?

I work in the same call centre as methedras. I was scheduled to work on Xmas day. Hence I'm glad I didn't work it.

I think gloating over the fact that you got the holidays off is a very "worthwhile" comment.

After all, I got the holidays off too(as I said in another comment), I was off 23rd through Jan 1st off.

Bastards >=D
