Dec. 3rd, 2004 07:11 amI'm currently using gentoo as my linux distro of choice. However I've run into something that seems more than a bit odd to me. The difference between what packages I have installed and the amount of space that is being used seems to be at odds with eachother. It looks to me like there are packages installed that aren't showing up in world.
Cutting out output that is confusing me.

I've deleted all of the portage tmp files in /var/tmp/portage
I've cleaned up everything that I can find that would be causing the problem. Not sure where else to go. And adding space really isn't an option at this point. Any suggestions, tips, hints?

Seriously? Have you tried asking in the newsgroups?
Also - possibly useful command: cd /; du -sch *
