Don't kill me please for stupid question
Nov. 29th, 2004 01:30 pmEvery time I open up a document and check back to the folder where I store the document, I find it littered with temporary files that are all basically called, "~WRL0358.tmp" I have tried deleting them but nothing happens. They disappear as soon as I close the document. There is one that I can delete and generally it's some mutilation of the title of the document. Exp: ~$cond Paper.doc for Second Paper.doc
Why does this happen? Is this a bad thing?

Date: 2004-11-29 05:48 am (UTC)that means that if Word crashes, it won't delete that item, and all the changes you made that you "forgot" to save will still be in there.

Date: 2004-11-29 08:54 am (UTC)they are important system information files.
in fact, it's probably a good idea to save them to cd every once in a while.
