Just when you think you've assessed the level of stupidity of your userbase, they go and surprise you by sinking lower.
We got hit with a rash of calls this morning about some Norton AV patch that they were getting in email, and how "it's not going past 1%". We were a little miffed, because we knew they were going to be getting a patch some time in the future, but hadn't been advised that it had actually gone out.
A few phone calls later, and we find that what sent a dozen or so users into a tizzy was actually just an email describing what they'll go through when they do get the patch. With embedded screenshots. One of which showed a progress bar at 1% installed.

Well that explains it then...that Russian rocket that blew up was carrying the satellite. It blew up right after launch, so it only got 1% sent."
