I'm not sure how many of my fellow techies are Law & Order fans, but something only slightly off-topic and greatly hilarious happened tonight.

Tonight's episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ended with the jury foreman reading the verdict. IE - We the jury find the defendant....[roll credits]

This was immediately followed by a promo saying "GO TO WWW.NBC.COM TO VOTE ON THE OUTCOME OF TONIGHT'S SHOW!!!"

So, I did. And apparently, so did the rest of TV-watching America, as NBC suffered a near-Denial of Service attack on it's servers, rendering the entire website "page cannot be displayed."

I laughed my ass off about this.

I was watching the SciFi Channel and missed the episode, but tried to get to nbc.com and it's still down.

I actually really liked tonight's episode of SVU. I found it was a very interesting and unique style of storytelling.

And that's all it was, a story. For some reason some people have trouble grasping this.

My wife and I butted heads over the verdict. I swore up and down he was innocent, but she wanted to vote guilty. *shrug* We know it's a story, but it didn't stop us from groaning and cursing at the TV when it ended like that.

SVU isn't as good as the others. I just don't know why, but I cannot get into it. Every episode I watch I end up getting up and leaving from to go play computer games. Yet I'll sit and watch a rerun of the other two. I don't know why.
