Nov. 23rd, 2004 10:02 pmI'm not sure how many of my fellow techies are Law & Order fans, but something only slightly off-topic and greatly hilarious happened tonight.
Tonight's episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ended with the jury foreman reading the verdict. IE - We the jury find the defendant....[roll credits]
This was immediately followed by a promo saying "GO TO WWW.NBC.COM TO VOTE ON THE OUTCOME OF TONIGHT'S SHOW!!!"
So, I did. And apparently, so did the rest of TV-watching America, as NBC suffered a near-Denial of Service attack on it's servers, rendering the entire website "page cannot be displayed."
I laughed my ass off about this.
