Dear Customer...
Nov. 23rd, 2004 10:32 pmDear Customer,
If you cannot find your desktop and/or the "My Computer" icon, even with thorough instructions for more than 5 minutes, you need to pack up your computer and return it to the vendor you bought it from.
Thank you.
Signed,
The Tech Support Girl that wanted to beat her head into the desk tonight.
And one more:
Dear customer,
Please do not yell and rant at the tech support girl who is so dearly trying to get you to just try one thing. We spent over 20 minutes on a call that should have lasted 10 at most if you would have just done what I requested of you. It was very simple. We powercycled your modem and router and it all worked. Thank you for calming down when you saw it fixed, but you were the one so insistent on it working in the first place, that wasting time yelling at me was not helping.
Thank you,
The Tech Support Girl who had to take long deep breaths to keep calm, cheerful, and polite.

Date: 2004-11-23 10:00 pm (UTC)I think you can live without your computer for /30 minutes/! I've seen data companies do it. You, a law firm, can do so. Trust me.

Date: 2004-11-24 12:10 am (UTC)But with how new I am, I run the risk of being monitored at that moment.
So hey, I do well enough until I've scored a like, 95% (HA!) on my monitoring, then when they watch me less 'cause of "how good [I] am", I then stop being so nice. ;)
