I'm not in a typical call center. I handle tech support for process control (HMI) software. So usually the people I'm talking to have somewhat of a clue. But why do they insist on calling me when they aren't at their systems?? I ask for version info, error log info, etc and I get "oh, I don't have that". Well, call me back when you do..

but seriously i know that pain. people run into an issue via the computer then call in while in the car (or worse in the abthroom) and expect you to solve it without any data...

Date: 2004-11-15 12:46 pm (UTC)I know she got VERY tired of that after a while. "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING ME THEN?!" I was just happy this lady would call her and not me despite the fact that my office is a few steps away from her cube and my boss works from her home in Texas. ;-)
