Subject: You are creating email SPAM

I sent one email to myself from my
imaretard@thisisp.net account a couple
of days ago and now I am getting a
lot of SPAM on that account. I have
not had a problem with this account
recently.

What is going on?

I personally can't think of a response more helpful than "LOL"

I get a lot of complaints about spam here. "Why do i get these, I never gave my address to these people!"

And I open up their mailbox, and I see hundreds of chain letters back and forth, and them signing up for joke of the day things, and crap like that.

I get complaints that mail flagged as spam (subject gets rewritten: **SPAM** Old Subject, isn't good enough for them. They want it gone completely. I balance that complaint vs. the complaints I'd get if i just bit-bucketed their "spam"

"But Aunt Milly sent me these pictures and a 30 page of forwarded chain mail, and I never got them!"

That's why the only people in the last ...as far back as I can remember...that I've given my email address to is Logitech.

They had a thing where you can win a free badass keyboard. Granted, in retrospect, so does everyone else, but it's LOGITECH I MEAN CMON.
