It's just a Powerpoint presentation. You don't need me to hold your hand. Honest. Me being there will have no effect on whether the presentation "looks how you want it to" because I didn't make the presentation. YOU DID. Furthermore, you know more about Powerpoint than I do because you USE it. I don't.

Everyone in the bigwig meetings that did their presentations today had no problem at all with the laptop and projector. We loaded your presentation file onto the desktop just like everyone else's. There is no real need for you to ask me to stay late because your boss called you and asked you to verify it is working how you expect it to work in tomorrow's meeting. What am I going to do for you if it doesn't look right? I'm sure as hell not going to modify your file for you. That's YOUR job. Not mine. I've done my part.

What I want to know, is, how do they perform the simplest of routine daily tasks on their own? Do they call their doctor to come help them blow their nose?

There are some nice girls where I work, but I have the same problem. They want me around as if their presentation will run better with me present. Granted, I do help out from time to time, but I'm not the end all be all of Powerpoint perfection. I don't even use the software.
