Here's one...
Oct. 13th, 2004 09:18 am...got in yesterday morning and had a fun voicemail on my phone. "Good morning, it's xxxx. I can't seem to log in, can you email me my password, thanx!!!."
So, the evil side of myself says "Uhm, yeah, sure, I'll do that for you". Well, no, I'm a decent fellow, so I call this person back and end up leaving them a voicemail to call me and I will provide them with their password. They never called. This morning, I get ambushed as I walk in the door.
User: "Why didn't you email me my password!?!?!?!"
Me: "Well, I can't do that. One, emailing a password is in violation of established security procedures. Two, I left you a voicemail yesterday asking you to call me so that I could give you your password, you never called, however, I would be more than happy to help you as soon as I get to my desk, get on my system and look up your password."
User: "I didn't get your voicemail, I don't remember that password either, sorry."
You know, I don't ask for much, but you should at least try and make an effort to remember your passwords to your user account, voicemail, key fob pin and what not. If you use them everyday, how in the nut can you forget them?
