The whole G-Mail thing.

The inherent need by so many people to have one.

The fact that someone has gone out of their way, to help distribute invites to get an email address.

The whole invite thing is so unnecessary, practically everyone seems to have one. It's just generating more hype over the G-Mail phenomena.
