I just heard my fellow coworker say to a customer:

"Now that we have that resolved, let me finish what I was doing with your wife." - I dunno about you, but I took this COMPLETELY out of context.

If he'd said "what I was doing to your wife" that woulda ruled.

Doing much of the same tech support over the years sometimes we had to work with customers at distance and couldnt be there to help with hardware. I can remember some customers being somewhat savy and they had requested that they be "walked through" replacement of a new drive. Line such as:

"...Let me asvise you tighten down that slave a bit more so it doesnt move any more it it's cage..."

were commonplace. Always made me laugh once a fellow coworker broke out in hysterical laughter in the next cube.

[Bored and back reading]

So did you ever have a customer hear the laughter and ask what it was about?

Oh sure, and sometimes, its just proper to say 'It just came out and sounded funny."

When talking to a user about a patch/upgrade done on-site, they'd ask me, " Did you work on anyone in Finance?" and I'd reply: "Yes, I did Lisa this morning and I'll tell ya, hers was a stubborn one."

I heard laughing on their end that time. ;)
