seems that the really old cards get supported, the really new cards, and most of their RAID stuff is only supported for one version of windows before they dump it.. got burned on an aaa-131, and burned on another card i bought.
won't be buying adaptec next time, that's for sure.
The problem is, it's an old dog card. I got it working linux, but I want it on the 2k box for a zip drive and backing up viral identities / dumping files for work.
Well, that and the linux box blew its hdd, and I'm getting a replacement in a bit (long complicated HD swap between three people...)
It's a DB25, old Canon. So damn old that when I called Canon they didn't even have the S/N on record o.o Mmmm. sweet sweet ISA....

Date: 2004-10-05 01:27 am (UTC)If so then it is definite hardware problem. Faulty card, bad/misconfigured controller or bad connection.

Date: 2004-10-05 07:30 am (UTC)they're almost as bad as highpoint.
I'll probably put 4 raptors on a pair of raid1's off a 3ware 9500S, when it comes time to replace the 4 Cheetah x15-36lp's that is in the server now.
