Somebody, somewhere, decided that all the users in the retail domain needed to be more secure with their passwords.

So they changed something and, well, now many people are locked out.

Lets seeee... 600ish retail stores... 5-10 users per store....

you do the math.

Oh. That's. Ugly.
Can you suddenly develop a horrible migraine?
(why yes, I can be a very bad influence...)

I wouldn't complain...

This is akin to the time one of our network guys decided to run a script to disable unused computer accounts. Except his script was wrong. And we spent three days with the phone ringing for all the people whose computer accounts (not their login, but their actual computer's account on the domain) wouldn't work.

And I'm the only one on the help desk with authorities high enough to reenable them.

Ive found that without the green IT degree holders running sites that i manage i wouldnt be as busy as i am. I loathe IT degree people, they think there smarter than you because they went to uni for 5 years, funny thing is that if they where so smart and had all the answers why are they calling me all the time? As well as there users. There all little over confident retards that dont have any practical knowledge in the "REAL" world.
