Date: 2004-09-08 06:43 am (UTC)and while things are a beta they have the right to do just about anything under that provision. personally i was curious. so i got a gmail acct when presented with the opportunity but will not likely convert over to it as my main way of getting email unless they allow for pop or imap acess.

Any mail service which offers virus protection or anti-spam services scans incoming email. The only difference is that Google's system matches the text to relevant ads instead of against known virus or spam signatures. The process is basically the same.
I consider this guy a quack with an axe to grind with Google.

Perhaps its time for him to be slashdotted. It's the only DOS that doesnt deny him his right to free speech. But it does get him more attention, which is bad.
