Good evening.

I am your host, Salem. Melly could not be here tonight.

She wanted to make a post about a game she's been playing lately called Zuma, but she's too busy PLAYING Zuma.

So I'm here. She'd like me to pass along this quote.

"This isn't a video game, this is video CRACK."

Mothers, don't let your children grow up to play Zuma...it's a dangerous, dangerous thing...

I think someone needs to start a list of addictive videogames that devour people's lives... I'm pretty sure Sid Meier's name would show up multiple times on that list.

Zuma is a game available for Download or playable on the web from Zone.com (other places too I think) the point of the game is to shoot colored balls at a long chain of other colored balls, get three or more of the same color together and they blow up, blow them all up before they reach the end of the path and you move to the next level.

Very addictive x_x

OH!!!
Yes, I know this game. Not by any name... something Bubble? Bobble? [Not Puzzle Bobble or whatever it's called, with the many levels and having to pop the bubbles... another addictive OLD game with 100+ levels o_O]
Um... now I want to go play it. Damn.

Sounds like a combination of Snood and Dr. Mario.

Before I picked up Doom 3, it'd been 5 months since I last touched one... does that count?

BTW: if you're playing Doom 3 in a dark room, lock your door, that way if someone walks up behind you, you don't get scared and hit them with something. Doom 3 is scary. It looks awesome. But it is repetitive.

Therefore: Doom 3 is repetitively scary and looks awesome.

as one of my friends said the other day (we both have old computers)

Doom 3! Otherwise known as ID Software Interactive Screensaver!

(ie - runs like a slideshow at roughly 3 frames per minute).

No no - A Tale in the Desert is digital crack, or so I've been told.

I've been smart enough to stay away from it (I don't need to pay for yet *another* MMOG subscription, thankyou very much...)

YES!
