Floppy drives and power

So today a user brings their computer in.  He mentions that the floppy drive doesn't work, and wants to get it replaced, since someone "shoved" a floppy in there.  Upon removing the side panel, after said user left, we noticed that the drive wasn't even plugged in to the power, let alone as a floppy.  I still wonder why it doesn't work........

Needless to say, my day has been quite amusing, how about yours?

Yeah, I was laughing so hard after we discovered that. The funniest part is, this guy is a software guy. He had a mirrored raid setup, and deleted the whole thing, then brought it in to us. That makes me want to hold up the sign that says:
$10 to work on it
$20 if you watch
$30 if you help
$40 if you ask questions
$100 if you worked on it yourself and didn't tell me first
