17 calls, five techs, but one's running MS patches, and two are at lunch ... I love this job. Really.

(Why is my mood "amused", you ask? Because I just don't care anymore. My employer has managed themselves right into this corner...)

Sounds about right for us today as well... we have 3 people to cover our little tech support line.

Sounds like mine, too. We've got two people on the helpdesk (thank god we're slow) and 10 techs for at least 1500 users and multiple in North America... with 7 located where the majority of users are. And management laid off a tech just last week because we're 'overstaffed'. I want them to see the poor tech who is covering his four sites, the two he just obtained from the leaving tech, and a site that usually has a full-time tech all to itself.
