Client mentions that UPS had been beeping and is now off.
Client mentions that TWO (2) UPSes were beeping and are now off.
Client states that office still has power.
Asked client to follow power cord from UPS.
Client states power cords are plugged into computers.
Specified which power cord client should follow.
Client states UPSes are plugged into surge protector.
Asked client what surge protector is plugged into.
Client states surge protector is plugged in.
Asked client to follow power cord from surge protector to wall.
Client states surge protector has been unplugged.
Client insists repeatedly that "someone must have done this on purpose."
Convinced client it doesn't matter how it happened, just plug it in and turn on servers.

It's sad. Just by reading this community i've become jaded. I'm not even in tech support and even with that simple outline I can hear in my head the entire conversation.

I've been reading too much of this comunity.

Why can't people understand that the UPS beeping means there is a problem?
