First i would like to thank every one who had the time to help me with my problem. I really appreciate it.
I have an update, i have wapped the old dying windows harddrive back in, and i seem to be having the same problem, so it has nothing to do with the Suse install at all.
As the warantee is up on the Compaq FROM Compaq, the warantee is not up with circuit city. I spent about 4 hours on the phone doing torubleshooting with them and they finally agreed that it was a hardware issue.
They are sending a box and said and i quite the guy "even if we have to gut it and replace everything, youll get it back, fixed, in a week." thats a pretty reassuring claim, if i do say so myself. So ill be waiting for its return, and then ill swap the drives again and try to go with Suse again. Once again, thank you all so much.

4 hours troubleshoot?? Geez.

Mine took about 10 mins. I hate to have your phone bill unless it's a toll free number.

Uh...WE have to prove it's hardware before we send anything.

I'd hate to see the kind of amatuers they have at circuit city =/

my call time = 20 minutes high average. That's including verifying all of your information and setting up a dispatch.
