I first must say, OH MY GOD!

Boss: I noticed that the monitor was turned off in the server room. Did you turn it off?

Me: Yes I did, it was the end of the day, I noticed it was on, and I turned the monitor off. (Like, uh no big deal, duh.)

Boss: Well, I need that to be left on. I remote into the server from home, and I need the monitor to be left on so I can remote in.

Me: I walked out of the room, I couldn't even correct her, otherwise I'd be almost laughing. (In my head, I'm saying to myself, "OH MY FKING GOD!! No way did she just say that!")

----------

Just the day before... (Just a side note: I recently had started this new job.) I had asked her for the admin login instead of her F'd up twenty million login's for god knows what. At the time hoping she'd just turn around at her desk, to her PC, to just modify that account for me, instead she replies, "Do we really need a password for the Admin login?".

OMG!!!!!!!! ...I really did say.. "OH NO WAY!!!", she said "Really?, you think we really do?"... Heh, unbelievable... I wonder how the hell she has the position of IT Director.

I already knew I wanted to be management, but this just makes me even more anxious to get there. Oh man.................

Funny thing is I wonder if anyone would actually try not putting in a password to get to the admin account ;-)

That's what management is for. Gotta love em.....well, not really, but still. Everytime I think of management, I see dilbert's boss, ole pointy haired idiot. So, did she remove the admin login or no? I'd just be curious if she WAS actually that stupid.

Indeed. Sometimes, I wonder why we have managers, then I realize that without managers, those people would be....gasp....helping people. So then I smack myself and go with what I was doing.

Oh for heaven's sake.

Granted, we use one admin password for all of our PCs -- the network admin password is naturally different! But the real fun comes when a user manages to change said local admin password and we don't know it to work on the pc.
