Anyone know the proper way to ftp the mozilla website from the command prompt to download the new version of the browser?

I was trying to help a customer do that earlier, and I think I have an outdated set of instructions, as the "remote computer" kept shutting down the connection.

Hm. This works for me:

ftp ftp.mozilla.org
(username: anonymous; password: e-mail address)
binary
cd /pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7/
get [whichever file they need]

Interestingly enough, I needed that to fix someone's IE problem. They had a buttload of spyware, and a different browser hijack on each XP account. to the point of which they could pull up like www.mywebsearch.com and that was it.

I figured Mozilla could help them download adaware/spybot/cwshredder/etc, and maybe, just MAYBE they'd realize it was a bit better..

Gack. I just had to fix someone's spyware-laden IE... it's amazing how utterly insidious some of the malware out there is.

About as damaging as a cat on a keyboard(which there is at the moment OFF BANDIT OFF).

I think coolwebsearch or something has managed to trojan winlogon or something like that. So that you CAN delete it, but it requires some HEAVY regediting. Regediting. Is that a word?
