I had a day off on Friday: this morning, the tech sat opposite me relayed this little gem about $incrediblyrudedemandinguser...

Turns out Friday was her last day.  This fact brings much merriment to the department.  However, she called down early afternoon saying that she needed help getting her emails and stuff off the computer so she could take it home with her.  $colleague asked her to log a job in the call logging system, naturally, and someone would get back to her as soon as they were free to help her out.

Her response to this was, "I don't want to log a call - I'm leaving the company.  Do it now for me."

$colleague laughed, replied, "If you don't log it, we won't do it!"

She hung up, ~never logged the call~ and left without any of the OHSOIMPORTANTDATA.

.......... O_o

I just can't understand which part of her brain made her think he would be MORE INCLINED to help her when she both refused to comply with the rules, AND announced that she was leaving in 3 hours' time.  Did she think he'd be so heartbroken at losing her that he'd do ANYTHING to help her out?!  Did she think that by throwing a strop and not bothering to log it, he'd eventually feel so guilty that he'd do the job for her anyway?!  What is wrong with everyone?!

Anyway, good riddance.  One less person whose name casts fear into the hearts of the entire Helpdesk...
