I’m gathering a little information on what motivates us as Help desk analysts. So please in your spare time answer these questions to the best of your ability and reply.

1. What motivates you to do great job every day?

2. What incentives would you like to be awarded For example: plaques for excellent service, having your picture highlighted on a SharePoint wall of fame, global recognition.

3. What is the most fulfilling moment or experience while working in the It field?

Yes, sir, we did quote you three hours just to set up the brand new computer that you purchased. And you were okay with that.

I'm afraid that that setup, as well as the complete data backup from another computer you brought in later, format and reinstall of said other computer, setup on said other computer, as well as diagnostic and repair of your other computer's DVD drive are taking a little longer than three hours. It absolutely baffles me that you don't understand why. It baffles me even more how you think calling every twenty minutes to see how the work is going will help it get done faster. Even after I inform you that I'll call you when it's all ready. Your interruptions simply aren't conducive to speedy work.

...Did someone spike my Dr. Pepper?
