I swear. I swear. April Fools Day is bringing the stupid out in droves. The Horde (or maybe Alliance? No... it was those DAMNED GOBLINS) dumped Intelligence Lowering Pots into the gene pools. Again. Recap: Helldesk for a Hospital.
All day long:
1. I've had people who forgot their passwords. After they reset them this morning. Once or twice, is not that many. I've had eight calls for this TODAY ALONE.
2. "I'm not computer literate!" Lady... hitting Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard doesn't take rocket science. Being unable to locate these keys on your keyboard does not, I promise, require a map and a compass. Maybe QuestHelper, in your defense. With little ant-trails.
3. I've had people unable to follow verbal directions. I know this is fairly commonplace outside of my epic bubble of work (our users are...generally... more intelligent than this, but today is a vast exception), but FFS... open a file. I had to ask someone to open a "problem" file three times before even receiving a response. Asked her once to open... no response from the user. Second time, I swear, she was eating someone's brains and drooling all over herself. Third time, her response was this: "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU WANT ME TO DO SOMETHING!?" Lady... you make three times what I do. Please listen.
4. Forgetting the last four digits of their social. Again. More than thrice in one day is not a good thing, and an indicator of a larger social problem. IE: Intelligence Debuffs merrily tossed into the Water Main by enterprising Goblins to help out the Mages.
...is it beer-thirty YET?

I'd hate to be Time Warner today....
