It is just never a good sign, when taking over a site from another outsourced IT company, to find not one, not two, but THREE different Undelete / data recovery utilities on their primary file server.   **sigh**

Yes, you're a college student who HAS to have access to your notebook 24/7 for studies/test taking/Facebook checking/etc.

I know this. I really do.

No, seriously, I do.

However, your machine is BROKEN. It needs to be fixed. It will need to have parts replaced. This means you WILL be leaving it here with us if you expect it to be repaired. No, I will not tell you whats wrong with it at the counter and order parts, because that's guessing, that's not actually doing a proper evaluation. No, I don't particularly care that you're in Law School and want to use your Lawyer-with-training-wheels arguing skills to try to get your way. The answer was no the first time you asked, and it'll be no this time, too. No, I will not let you keep your machine and call you when a tech has free bench space. You will leave the machine with us and it will be evaluated in the order it was received. Because I will guarantee that if I were to try to  appease you, you would not come down when called, and would be demanding instant service whenever you DID show up, making everybody ELSE's repairs wait.

It may not seem like it to you, but the system is designed to keep your downtime at a minmum. Let us do our jobs, and your machine will be back quickly.
