heinousbitca.livejournal.comi talked to this gent earlier today regarding some issue he was having with our software. he wasn't in front of his computer, naturally, because obviously i can psychically fix the problem. i explained a walk-through would really require him to be at the computer but that i'm here until, oh, 8 his time. he seemed rational but he was being unpleasant that "your call center is closed at weird times." read on to see how big our "call center" is.
this seemed to assuage his issues. i asked if i could just call him at 4pm (7pm in delaware) and he said no, he'll call me. so now, of course, i've been on the phone for 20 solid minutes working on an actual problem where yeah, our UFL has a bug, and the customer has been more than helpful in diagnosing the problem so we can work through it together. sure enough, call beeps in. it's a blocked number. five minutes later, same thing again. five minutes later, same thing again.
does this customer leave voicemail with his phone number? nope.
does this customer email me? nope.
since your number is blocked how in the holy hades do you expect me to know where to call you back? i mean listen voicemail kinda sucks but there's one of me and 106,700 copies of our software out there. when you want sales, my officemate is it. when you want tech support, i'm it. i read my email 18 hours a day, dude, so you can't complain that much. (we take support calls from 10 to 5) i'm sure you'll call tomorrow and read someone the riot act, because, come on, the people on the other end of the phone have no feelings and this would have nothing to do with your own complete lack of personal responsibility or something. i suspect i will end up in the bathroom crying tomorrow for one reason or another.
oh wait, i'm supposed to be psychic so i know what number to call. duh, how could i forget!
please let this week suck less, monday was bad enough, mmmkay.
